Uniform

Carrickfergus Grammar School recognises the importance of maintaining a school uniform which reflects the values, ethos and identity of the school whilst also ensuring that uniform requirements remain affordable, practical and proportionate for all families.

School continues to take account of the School Uniforms (Guidelines and Allowances) Act (Northern Ireland) 2026 whilst devising policy. This policy can be read in tandem with the accompanying ‘Uniform Rationale and Affordability Framework’. Full school uniform must be worn correctly at all times, including on the journey to and from school. We take pride in our uniform, and we enforce it.

Inappropriate schoolwear may be temporarily confiscated and returned to parent/guardian only. Contravention of these regulations by pupils will lead to school sanctions being enforced.
